This organizer will be responsible for support and development of the Oregon Community College Student Association (OCCSA) Board and the implementation of OCCSA statewide campaigns. Join over 250 students of color and allies for the 8th Annual Oregon Students of Color Conference. For the first time ever the OSCConference will be hosted at a Community College, Lane Community College in Eugene Oregon. Over the weekend OSCConference will offer over 70 workshops, 3 keynote speakers, a table fair, evening entertainment, and a place to meet students who are leaders in social justice movements on campuses across the Northwest region. Registration will cover all conference offerings in addition to all meals throughout the weekend for only $45 before January 16th, after that registration will rise to $55. After registering to vote in the thousands this fall it is time to be educated on the candidates near our colleges and the ballot measures that could affect us as students. Each election the Oregon Student Association surveys the candidates in contested races near college campuses. These candidate surveys accompanied by information on ballot measures and the election creates this non-partisan voter guide for students. Find out what the candidates have to say about the issues we care about. The election is getting close and we need to be educated on the candidates in our own area codes so check the guide out and cast your ballot by 8pm November 4th.
