OSA is seeking a savvy, experienced, and driven Event and Development Director to run all aspects of OSA’s two major conferences and organizational development. 

The Event and Development Director is at the center of the organization’s outreach and growth and reports to OSA’s fiscal sponsor—the 501(c)(3) Oregon Student Foundation.

This person is responsible for the creation, coordination, and logistics of an organizational fundraising plan as well as the Northwest Student Leadership Conference and the Oregon Students of Color Conference. 

This person reports to the Executive Director.

Position is based in Portland, OR.

OSA is seeking a highly driven and knowledgeable Legislative Director to lead all aspects of OSA’s statewide advocacy. 

The Legislative Director has a finger on the pulse of the statewide dialogue on issues of post-secondary education and keeps the organization at the forefront of the debate.

The director will join a talented, committed, and innovative professional staff working to empower young leaders and improve access to a college education for ALL Oregonians.

The OSA Legislative Director reports to the Executive Director.  This person spends about 40% of the time in the OSA office, 40% of the time in the State Capitol (during legislative sessions), and 20% of the time on campus.

This position is based in Portland, OR.

If so, OSA needs you to join up as a Vote Organizer to help turn our “Vote OR Vote” campaign into Oregon’s most successful drive ever to keep students registered, informed, and voting.

We’re hiring organizers for three locations: Eugene, Ashland, and Portland.

This position reports to OSA’s Organizing Director. The Vote Organizer works primarily with student governments and major campus groups and will be in the field 90% of the time.

You should be excited at the prospect of traveling extensively throughout the state, and should be comfortable with a flexible work schedule.

These are temporary full-time positions that will run from late August to November 14th.

These positions are based in Ashland, Eugene, or Portland.

OSA seeks a skilled campus organizer at Portland State University to help make an affordable, quality education a reality for all Oregonians.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies regarding ASPSU and OSA issues, and will be a superior recruiter, educator, and motivator.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Conduct training and skill development
• Recruit, train, and motivate students
• Build strong relationships with administrators, faculty, and other student organizations
• Active participation in organizational fundraising

Minimum requirements:
• Experience working with student government or student groups
• Understanding of grassroots organizing and electoral organizing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, out-going and detail-oriented
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and to travel

This position is based in Portland, OR.
