Oregon Student Foundation

The Oregon Student Foundation (OSF) was founded in 1994 as a means of keeping OSA Alumni invested and leveraging private fundraising through the establishment of a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. OSF’s sole purpose is to fundraise and sponsor OSA education, leadership development trainings as well as Student Vote.  The members of the OSF are OSA alumni, students and community members.
The Foundation has two primary purposes, to sponsor OSA training events and to build and sustain alumni relationships for better fundraising and support. The Foundation sponsors the Northwest Student Leadership Conference currently on its 20th year, the Oregon Students of Color Conference currently on its 9th year, Student Executive Management Training, and the bi-annual Student Vote Training.
The foundation has also expanded its support and resources by creating an Event Coordinator position whose sole responsibility is events, programs, and fundraising. The Foundation also owns a house in North East Portland which is the headquarters for OSA staff.

The reason OSF has been so successful in supporting students is by the support of OSA alumni and friends in the community. OSF has started a monthly sustainer program where supporters can contribute by donating as little as $10 per month to the foundation. We are hoping to use these funds to improve and expand OSF/OSA trainings and conferences by providing even better content at the same time ensuring the cost to students is as low as possible.
