Main Content Image

Oregonians with the lowest 20 percent of incomes have to pay 83 percent of their income to send a child to a state university.

This percentage has jumped by 26 percent for low-income families in Oregon since 1992.  Over the same period of time, high-income Oregonians have seen this percentage increase by only two percent and currently pay 11 percent of their income to send a child to a state university.
