Founded in 1975, OSA is a coalition of student governments dedicated to the representation, service, and protection of the collective interests of over 100,000 students in postsecondary education.
Oregon’s students of color are not going to college at nearly the same rate as white students, who are represented in Oregon public universities in proportions about equal to their share in Oregon public high schools.*
How will we correct this graph if we cannot get students of color the tools they need to aspire to and access college? By committing state funding of $2.6 million to ASPIRE, all Oregon students, no matter what their location in the state, will have the tools they need to make it to campus.
