We are a statewide coalition of students advocating for equal access to education by empowering students and strengthening communities of color.
OSERA is collecting students’ stories to guide an upcoming Gender Inclusive Spaces (GIS) campaign.
In order to increase access to gender-neutral bathrooms, changing areas, and living quarters, we need to hear your stories and your needs.
Share your story now and help change the future of education in Oregon!
OSCC participates in a round table discussion with gubernatorial candidate Bill Bradbury on how to best serve communities of color throughout Oregon:
Thank You to over 400 students, presenters, and speakers who participated in the 9th Annual Oregon Students of Color Conference
The Oregon Student Foundation and Oregon Students of Color Coalition are proud to say this was our largest and most informative conference to date. OSCConference was held this year at Portland Community College’s Cascade campus, November 13-15th. Over the weekend over 385 students of color and allies took part in 70 workshops and had the opportunity to listen to inspiring speakers. This year the OSCConference attendees were welcomed by PCC Cascade student Charice Jones and George Pernsteiner the Chancellor of the Oregon University System. Our Alumni Speaker was Scott Lu and on Saturday we were joined by Cyreena Boston, and Jeri Sundvall-Williams.
Thank You to all Presenters, Speakers, Supporters, and Most of all Students, We look forward to seeing you next year!
