Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC)
The agency that administers the Oregon Opportunity Grant, OSAC’s mission is to assist Oregon students and their families in attaining a postsecondary education and to enhance the value, integrity, and diversity of Oregon’s college programs. Access & Affordability Working Group (AAWG)
AAWG is a working group of the OUS Board. This link from their website offers various AAWG presentations and reports, other reports on the accessibility and affordability of postsecondary education, and regional statistics.
The State Board of Education sets educational policies and standards for Oregon’s 198 public school districts, 17 community college districts, and 20 educational service districts.
Department of Community Colleges & Workforce Development (CCWD)
The State Board of Education and the Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development:
• Distribute state aid to community colleges
• Approve new programs and courses
• Adopt rules for the general governance of community colleges
